The Ronceverte Lions Club Basketball League (RLCML) has a new champion, and Spartan Pride has made history. The team of Travis McClintic, Andy Nutter, Adam Merrit, Josh Deim, Ryan Vance, Adam Seems, Sam Shirley, Aaron Griffith, Will Gabbert, Goose Gabbert, and Monquelle Davis, etched their names into the record books by becoming the first team in league history to go undefeated all year while claiming the championship trophy.

They were not the first team to taste glory in RLCML, and they won't be the last. The prestigious trophy has been lifted by some incredible teams and players over the years.

The precursor to Spartan Pride's dominance came from last year's champions, Team Iso, who were led by MVP Isaiah Francis. With impressive performances throughout the tournament, Team Iso left no doubt about where the championship belonged. The year before that, Team Elite, with Damien Tunstalle as their MVP, secured the trophy, while validating their position and displaying their dominance on the court. The 2019 tournament was a showcase for Team Elite, with Brandon Gwinn, their MVP, leading the charge and proving his mettle as one of the league's finest talents.

RLCML has seen some of the greatest talents in the game of basketball, leaving an unforgettable mark on the league. Among these legends are Phil Grant, Stephen Thompson, Charles Walker, Aaron Brown, Jalen Walker, Joey Kirk, and Josiah Rawls. Their incredible feats have been noticed and are a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport, making the league not only exciting but also inspiring for both the players and the fans.

Apart from the MVPs and the championship teams, the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards have also been significant. Dylan Blake Took offensive player and Demario Wesley took defensive, they were the standout performers in these categories this year. Meanwhile, the 6th Man of the Year award has recognized the importance of having quality players on the bench, ready to make an impact when needed the most.

In the Rookie of the Year category, Kadin Cutlip of the Blue Collar Boys proved his worth with an impressive scoring average of 25.5 points per game. He is one of the new talents in the league who has shown enormous potential and is expected to have a bright future ahead.

All of these players, teams, and awards have helped create a rich and compelling history of basketball in Ronceverte. The league's growth and thriving are evident in the passion and talent of those who play and support it, and there are sure to be more incredible feats by the players in the future.
